Who we are and what we do

BM Actuarial comprises two highly knowledgeable pension experts, Robert Briggs who is a qualified Actuary and Nathan Murray who is a part qualified Actuary. With hands-on experience dating back to the 1990s, their detailed and accurate reports enable Independent Financial Advisors to give verified and qualified advice on the best way to proceed with a potential pension transfer.

We provide Transfer Value Analysis Reports and Transfer Value Comparator Reports for the financial sector. For any transfer out of a defined benefit schemes where the CETV is £30,000 or more, advice from a regulated UK financial advisor is required. We provide the reports in a timely and in-depth manner, minimising delays and helping Financial Advisors give sound advice.

TVAS Reports & Modeller

The interactive drawdown modeller program we use forms an integral part of our Transfer Value Analysis Reports as it allows advisers to show their clients likely outcomes and forecasts. It provides an unlimited number of drawdown scenarios to compare with their scheme benefits and how different scenarios will affect the amount of cumulative income and death benefits they will ultimately receive. It also shows how different providers, investment products and charging structures affect the results in both nominal and real terms.

You can generate as many reports as you like for your client, examining different providers, products, charging structures and drawdown patterns.

TVAS Reports

Transfer Value Comparator (TVC)

Legislation in 2018 has specified that a Transfer Value Comparator (TVC) has to be included within an Appropriate Pension Transfer Analysis (APTA). The new Transfer Value Comparator (TVC) provides a very general “non-personalised” comparison between the scheme benefits and the proposed cost to replace these benefits with an insurer. BM Actuarial also creates personalised results within the report, enabling advisors to give informative feedback to their clients.
