Pension transfer reports

BM Actuarial

We are two pension experts who came together to found Briggs Murray Actuarial (or BM Actuarial) in 2015. We now work together with Independent Financial Advisors compiling pension transfer reports.  With many years of experience in the field of pensions, our expertise is invaluable to IFAs advising their clients.

Robert Briggs:

Robert Briggs is a qualified Actuary with extensive expertise in Defined Benefit Pension Transfers. Having worked on the industry wide pension review exercise from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s he has in-depth knowledge of what makes a pension transfer financially viable.

In addition to the experience gained in the pension review, Robert Briggs has also worked as a consultant for several major life offices, actuarial consultancies and scheme administrators.

Robert has an extensive list of qualifications in the financial services industry including: Certificate in Pension Transfer Advice, Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and holds the Financial Planning Certificate.

More recently Robert was co-founder of Briggs Murray Actuarial, a company that specialises in providing Transfer Value Analysis and Transfer Value Comparator reports for over 100 IFA practices.

Robert also co-founded Briggs Murray Wealth which provided DB Pension transfer advice on behalf of IFAs who did not have permissions to provide transfer advice. Whilst we no longer provide DB Pension transfer advice ourselves, we work with a number of companies that are able to provide the advice on your behalf.

Nathan Murray:

Nathan Murray co-founded Briggs Murray Actuarial, a company to provide IFAs with the necessary pension transfer reports that enables them to provide sound pensions advice. He is an expert on TVAS reports and TVA modellers, and he brings a wealth of expertise on the subject of DB pension transfers.

Nathan is qualified as a Pension Transfer Specialist and is well versed in all aspects of Defined Benefit pension schemes. Nathan previously ran a paraplanning team that assisted IFAs in providing transfer advice and is therefore familiar with the entire process of transferring out of a Final Salary pension scheme.

Nathan was also co-founded Briggs Murray Wealth, which provided DB Pension transfer reports and advice on behalf of IFAs who did not have permissions to provide transfer advice.

What to expect:

You can contact us by phone or email, or use our contact form, to order your TVAS/TVC report. From there you can supply the details and necessary information, and we will supply the TVAS/TVC report, usually within 10 days. The drawdown modeller enables you to adapt the report to contain an unlimited number of drawdown scenarios to compare with their existing scheme, and also how different providers, investment products and charging structures affect the results in both nominal and real terms.

With our modeller, you can generate multiple pension transfer reports for your client, examining different providers, products, charging structures and drawdown patterns.
